Melrose is situated in the heart of the Scottish Borders and is an excellent base for exploring all the visitor attractions. Tweed Rig is a convenient location for many outdoor activities, such as golfing, mountain biking, hill walking, fishing etc.

There are dozens of activities nearby, such as water sports, mountain biking, hill walking, fishing and many more.

Edinburgh is a pleasant one hour drive from Melrose making Tweed Rig suitable for city events and attractions.

There are two fantastic restaurants in the village and a walk across the River Tweed by a footbridge, takes you into Melrose which has a superb selection of bistros/restaurants/cafes etc.

Directions

From the B6360 through Gattonside, turn up between the telephone box, and the garage. Drive up the hill.  At the triangle of grass turn right onto the unpaved road, and then bear left.  Tweed Rig is the first house up the hill.
